Narnia comes to Bray

Christ Church Bray celebrated Easter 2009 with a spectacular event chronicling the Narnia story 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. The exhibition entailed scenes from the story, featuring Mr. Tumnus, the Beavers house, Aslan and other extracts from the well-loved tale.

The event was held in Christ Church, Bray from 29th March to 12th April 2009. There were 14 scenes depicting the Story of Narnia and a light and sound show which appealed to all ages. All money raised from the running of the event was donated to Charity.

Photos of the event can be viewed on the Narnia page on the Signal website

  2. Two artists spent a couple of weeks painting the background for behind the altar - they were Aoife and Róisín both very different painters but the end result was excellent. Another artist here painted the picture of Aslan to go on the St. Patricks Day float, which won two prizes, Greystones & Bray, for best float in parade. Vincent and Ilan researched and produced the sounds that were heard throughout the exhibition. A local metal worker, who is a friend of Signals, Gregory Flood, made the lamp for the entrance and Claire supplied the stuff for Mr Tumnus' house. It was a very nice project to be involved with and the organisers from Christ Church were great and we would hope to do something with them again.
